Installed on an acoustic kit. Works great!

Keeps the rimshots quiet! It’s also helped keep my sticks alive!

Installs easy enough, and comes off by simply pulling up on it. I installed it on my snare, and it came in about 2″ longer than needed. I simply cut the rest off with a pair of scissors. I called Pintech and they said they do that on purpose just to be sure that you get enough. I use rubber cleaner to keep them looking nice.

I wish it was all connected together, but that is just me. They work flawlessly, and do exactly what they are supposed to do. I had to turn up my sensitivity a little bit on my rim trigger, but that was to be expected.

Fits perfectly on my 14” snare. Was a little longer, which is good because it is guaranteed to fit. However, this is hard material to cut. I have tried PEX tubing cutter, but the cut was not very straight. Garden scissors did the trick. Make sure to cut rim protector just a little longer, and do not stretch the rubber protector while installing it. If the cut is straight, the seam will be almost invisible.

Purchased 4 rubber hoop rims, 2 x 12″ and 2 x 14″. Im using the 12″ Pearl shell as my snare and the rubber hoop rim triggers perfectly for rim shots, and has enough thickness to keep the sound down.
They look great with the kit I’m working on, and fit perfect on the Pearl rims!
Use an Olfa knife to slice the rubber to fit. Just hold the rubber hoop upright and slice straight through for a nice square joint!
These are a very good quality!
